The rise of Pat Fusty and his counterpart Snowpat and nerfs to both Ezili and her counterpart Smudge Catt have risen popularity for the two latest heroes, Pat Fusty and his Snowpat counterpart. While Bloon Trap was already out of the meta at the time due to various nerfs to Bloon Trap and the dominating early-game of Dartling at the time, Bloon Trap's rework had caused a shift in favor towards the natural bloons, though still slightly weak in income-generating power. Pure eco was on the rise, causing Ninja Kiwi to eventually nerf eco yet again.īloon Trap was nerfed heavily in Version 1.8.2, reworking it to no longer syphon sent bloons. Farm was still quite meta at the time, with Merchantman then becoming a prominent sidegrade to income generation that trades in its income efficiency for extra popping power. Dartling Gunner was also a very popular starting tower. The main metas include Pat Fusty and Snowpat, both of which had strong metas in combination with Ice Monkeys. As well as buffing the now-reworked Bloon Trap from 1.8.2, its income quantities have risen to an extent that makes it viable again for the new purpose of syphoning natural waves. Also in the update was nerfing Alchemist's early-game and late-game prowesses, making them slightly weaker overall. Some relatively minor changes, although with further buffs to Archmage it has popularized the attention of Tack-Wizard users to start using the Tack-Wizard combo as a meta strategy. Examples included Quincy-Boomer-Mortar combos and Biker-Mortar combos.ġ.9.0 Includes 1.9, 1.9.1, 1.9.2, 1.9.3 However, incidentally it has caused a bug with 2-0-2 and 3-0-2 Burny Stuff that deals 4 burning damage instead of the intended values, causing them to trivialize all rushes until R17 MOABs arrive.Īs Jericho and Hericho were nerfed, some hero strategies rose above the once-oppressive meta use of the Jerichos. Among these buffs is a Burny Stuff buff to burn Black properties. Version 1.10.3 made signficant nerfs to Necromancer's WoF, Jericho and Hericho, Tack's Blade Shooter, among some miscellaneous buffs. Bloon Trap rose as a popular alternate income option for Rounds 15+, particularly with the rise of Jericho. The three-tower combo Druid-Sub-Farm sort of dropped off as did the hero-and-two-tower combo Snowpat-Dartling-Ice plus an income generator. Banana Farms still are meta but pure eco strategies were on the rise. In terms of other strategies, many of the old popular loadouts remained popular. Blade Shooter is a popular early-game tower for Tack users, which as of the time carries until Round 7 when placed properly. Jericho also promotes an aggressive offense meta, as opposed to a passive meta that involves almost no rushing.Īmong the popular tower upgrades, Necromancer has become a dominant choice for dispatching mid-game rushes, Wall of Fire remaining a prolific choice of crosspath alongside the Wall of Fire upgrade itself excelling in the early-game alongside Fireball. Wizard and Tack separately also have their own meta usages, Wizard mainly offering its fire upgrades and Necromancer, and Tack Shooter mainly offering Blade Shooter and Overdrive. Since the rise of the Jerichos, the most dominant meta involves either of the Jerichos plus Wizard-Tack combo. For instance, Engi-Ace-Farm has risen to a meta combo on Dino Graveyard.ġ.10.0 Includes 1.10, 1.10.1, 1.10.2, 1.10.3 Tack-Wizard-Farm-Jericho remains the most popular option on many maps, but the rise of Mortar as a decamo and mid-game defender has made it much more viable on certain maps.Īdditionally, meta loadouts are more diverse across different maps, not just on Bloon Bot Factory with the Mortar-Buccaneer combo. Jericho nerfs and Fireball damage nerfs have made both of them less powerful but still quite meta. Regardless of nerfs to Mortar, Tack-Mortar-Farm is still one of the more common loadouts in many map formats in Hall of Masters, as Mortar's mid-game remains very strong.Ģ.0.0 Includes 2.0, 2.0.1, 2.0.2, 2.0.3, 2.0.4 Farm remains powerful and still popular among many loadouts, although shifts to some non-Farm strategies became popular.įurther Jericho nerfs and buffs to various towers and heroes has not caused much of a downfall of certain loadouts. Gwen-Tack-Glue-Village remains a popular pure eco late-game strategy on maps on Star. Churchill has also risen in popularity over Sentai. Boat-Alch-Spactory has risen to popularity on maps that support good Boat and defensive Spactory spots such as Glade, Garden, and Inflection. With some nerfs to Mortar, and further focus on non-Jericho strategies, meta strategies became much more map-dependent.
